Sounds quite twisted to me. Reminds me a little of Hallucinogen, which is not a bad sign at all.
I think you need to improve the mastering quality. Some sounds could use a little improvement.
I will get more detailed but not now. I got a lowpass filter and mono in my ears now because of that fucking flu :P

Hey dude! One of my favorite artist listening my music... really important for me!!
About the mastering....when I finish the track and I try it to other hifi systems I realize that I didn't have middle frequencies at all!! So I begin to work it mainly to give it some middles from nero sound editor and then at ozone with some presets fx's.I test it with a lot different recordings and finally the track is that you hear...Maybe my first mistake was that from the beggining (when I build this track to Reason) I had a wrong image from my monitors and I put eq at kick very low (to FEEL the rythm) and the volume at bass a little bit..up (cause I have a lot of changes and different modulators).I don't think that sounds too bad (I'm sure that I have more depth than my first track "I touch a pulsar")but I know that is not the brillant production that can be heard easy without touching equalizer...
Anyway the road for improvement is far thought and maybe never end
Thanx again for listening and I'll be very pleased if you can hear it again for further reviewing.

skitz

freaky

& twisted

0.30 a turn to the twisted.

this is great stuff Sparkunian. There are heaps of elements & fx mixed together that kept me interested.

A driving hihat might help the track. The cymbols/hihat progression is very good, though a crisp central continuous hihat may help the drive a bit more.

3.00

5.11 love the rolling hihats here. Cybernetica mentioned hallucinogen; It definitelty sound like there are some simon postford influenced in there. (which is always good)

2nd listen: this freaky twisted tune is growing on me.

I wouldnt want to be fried while listening to this, as it would rot my brain!

great work mate!

Okay, listening again, hope things are better audible now

Listening as I comment.
The bassline is a bit simple, sound-wise. I would not make it so dry, I'd rather make it a bit "meaner", more in an acid-style, with a little bit of resonance. If you got a 303 or 404-style synth, that might sound better, at least it will add more depth to the bassline.
That scratching sounds are quite nice. I would prefer them to be a little deeper and "softer", but maybe that might just be me... at least things would sound deeper and a little trippier maybe.
1:20 - that "scream" sounds in the background work perfectly. Nice one.
2:30 - I like a lot how you arrange a rich variety of sounds. Very trippy, Some of the effects sound maybe a little too "dry". I would add more reverb/delay.
The hihats should get a little noisier. Try ones with a little more reverb, so they are less "clicky" at least.
4:00 - things start to get really interesting now. It might just be my speakers or my ears, but I think things are getting a little muddy. Considering the mass of layers, this is not really a surprise.
I think you could lower the cutoff of the bass a little, and then you should try to turn down the highpass-cutoff of your mid-range synths accordingly. This will probably give it more warmth too which is necessary.
Anyway, the ending of the tune is really cool. Enjoyed it a lot. keep up that twisted Posford-ish originality

Woo, bouncy.

I like those crashes at 3:50.

Generally, this track is snounding very dry. You could do with some more effects on some elements.

Your kick is really weak, IMO. Try to give it more click or more low end. Something to make it less muddy in the mix. Personally, I'd make it deeper because I don't like the sound that the bassline makes in the subs. Or you could make your bass synth more punchy.

I liked the trippy sounds in the track, but there are a few sounds that could be more developed.

It's just that sometimes the kick gets lost or muddy when I listen. The kick should always stand out more against the other sounds. It's especially apparent at some spots between 4:00 and 4:25.

Ok..I understand now what you mean...I play with the compression of the kick a little bit...thats why you hear it muddy sometimes...(I just put it like fx but I thing I flat it again)

Thanx a lot again

Hey mate, somehow missed this one of yours.

Loving the style you got going here. Dark and techy. The bassline is orignal but I think it could use some multiband compression to bring out the lower end and tighten the pluck. Ozone is quite good for this sort of stuff.

The kick isnt weak per se, but I think its lacking in the higher frequencies or the click is getting lost amongst the fx. At the start its not quite so lost, but when the track is going full tilt, it gets a bit muddy. You might need to try some more aggressive EQing in future to really separate the bass and kick out from the mids and highs.

Those samples (vocal?) are great. Adds a very futuristic/sci fi feel to the track. Everything else is dark and twisted with a lot of attention to detail and heavy fx.

With regards to the fx. Your using a lot of ping pong delays which work very well. It might be nice to use some other effects. Large phasers/flangers or filter sweeps work well too and can contrast nicely with heavy delays.

You need to watch the highhats too. Theres a bit too much distortion on some of them. Either that or the samples arnt quite clear enough. I have problems with hats too. Its really just trial and error I think but try cutting them off above 15Khz. It tends to remove a lot of the hiss.

Otherwise, great track. This is true psy trance. Very deep and industrial sounding with lots of mind bending atmospherics. The production and structure is much better than your last track too, with a lot of attention to detail. Very nice work, keep it up mate.
