Compostition as in you think the melodies etc are bad? the background plucks? bassline? which bit?

I cant pick out anythin wrong really , i can see what w ashley is saying about the melody being a bit allover the place , but that makes it interesting.And i love the little drum thing before it kicks in.
The melody is deliberately strange I did it by writing a melody and then doubleing it up on the octave but a 16 behind and having portamento on the synth. So if thats what you meant by all over the place im ok with it as its intended.
The record label said
"again your onto a incredible track however the arrangement is letting it down"

Hey man! I think what the label was saying (something i noticed too) is that the arrangement is a bit strange -- not referring to the composition of the melody arp but simply how/where you've placed certain elements and transitions in the sequencing of this track. Having a cymbal sweep every two bars was a bit much, could definitely do without that, or just have a decent one every eight or sixteen bars. The other major problem I had was after an awesome breakdown the track teases for way too long and I could imagine people on a dancefloor thinking "wtf.." after a while :P So yeah, definitely just arrangement issues, but not a bad problem to have as its a relatively easy fix, at least your sounds and mixdown are all pretty much spot on!
as an aside, from your description of how you crafted the melody i thought i was going to hate it but i really liked it! Very distinctive and reminded me of something that would really stand out in a Sander Van Doorn set. I say experiment with using it more once the kick comes back in after the break (and perhaps that was something else the label was referring to with respect to arrangement?) Nice job!

Hey man,
I really enjoyed this track and your creativity.
This intro was excellent with beautiful pads entry at 0:28 and nice tension and good dynamics. The way you develop and drive this rhythm and sound (with good instruments selection)is awesome. Really dig this part of your song until 2:44.
To cut is short after this, you creativity looks like took over and you lost connection with your melody line which was nicely developed in the first 2:44 min.
Try to work with this first part on your song, just because is beautiful and is easy to connect with it.
Great work and definitely well run first 2:44.
With a little bit of work you can turn this into a great song man.

Yeah it is long but thats what i was goin for ridiculously long wierd breakdown then come back pumpin, Drums im thinkin i might go over kicks fine just the hi hats are not the best i have done thanks for the critique man

thanks man really means a lot, yeah im thinkin you and the label are right I brought up this arrangement template from CM music for trance and mine doesnt follow (not that it has to) but i can see now it needs re arranging.
