Sounds fine in the beginning. Nice sounds effects. Bass, is a bit.. I don't know, I don't like it. Also the synth... it need some more fx in the bass and synths I guess. And it also sounds a bit simple, bit cheap, sorry. It needs more. The strings need much more bass.. and everyting needs more delay, reverb and some instruments (like the hihats) could use some other fx too. Some more percussions would be nice too imo. Buildup is.. euhm, simple but ok. But I like the kick and the clap.
Sounds like a good start, but needs a bit more complexity I think. The melody is quite nice, but doesn't end up developing much.
The build-up at 3:00 definitely needs more dynamic elements, swells, snare rolls and all that. About the strings in the breakdown, you might try adding another string part, all bass notes, panned separately to the other strings. That always fattens up the good old stringy breakdowns nicely.

good for a first track. Every thing sounds
very dry however. Not in the tight compressed way. In the needs FX's way. For the future, don't be afraid to experiment with large amounts of panning and delays on the mid to high frequencies. Keep it up!

I agree with everything sounding dry.. and the delay on the open hat jus ain't working for me
It's a very different chord setup from what I normally hear, but that happened to me when I was new to it.. Into the breakdown... i realy like the melody the strings are playing, but again.. everything seems to have a bit too much high-end i originally thought i was listening to a low-qual rip.. rather than a 192..
anyway.. definately has the potential to be a stormer track.. jus try to play with less delay on percs.. and save that for the synths.... if you really want the delay effect.. make it a bit more subtle
Edit: also - the effect from the start really hurts the ears with its high-freqs
I can imagine some good productions from you in the future.. keep it up
