I like your warm proggy sound, great @ 2 mins! I think you could have more depth in your kick tho... Are you planning on using any elements from the original here?

thanks man, well did u notice the part before the bass drops in? that melody...thats not all im gonna use the rest will come a bit later, im going for a subtle display of the original melodies, but also have one main bridge that accentuates the melody to its full potential and bring it back to the subtle.

the part that comes in at about 1:42 and kind of withers away as the sound gets wet with phaser filter

Very original sounds and programming. Theres some really crisp and clear elements. I really like this style of sound your going for. Bass drop is nice like people have mentioned.

Kick is seriously lacking though. The click is too high and thin and theres not enough oomph to it.

Yeah I was actually going to put a heavier kick in from a certain refill to add on to the kick i made to create a better one but I didn't have the refill at that time. Theni heard the kick on some pretty decent speakers and thought it sounded pretty good, which is why it wasn't my main concern. But i still plan on making the kick heavier and more powerful sooner or later. so yea. Thanks man.

Sounds good so far...i like the feel of the track..

at 1:42, kinda come in too sudden, dont really feel thats suitable for this kind of floating track but its alright if thats intentionally

It is somewhat intentional. It's supposed to be that as the dj is letting the last few kicks or hi hats play from the previous song, it has minimal hint of what the next song actually is...and then the song actually begins at the bass drop. Which is pretty standard.
