Nem vs Azndragon - I kissed an angel (192bps uplifting trance)

Hey folks,

Here is Azndragon's Melody 3 from the file share thread which has been Nemified.
It's not hard and quirky like my usual stuff and tends to conform to the more regular sounding trance.
Needless to say I had a lot of fun making it and I hope you like the track.

(Slight issue with Highs as I have blown one of my monitors sound can't sort it at the moment).

CLICKY!!!

Any feedback is always apreciated.

All the best
Nem

PS
If anyone wants a colab hit me up with an idea and we can get to work.

I know it's only been a day but I was hoping that at least someone might post an opinion considering it's had a fair few downloads?

Cheers
Nem

review-ing while i listen:

like the fx's in the intro, kick seems ok too
bassline and kick work well together
moaning vocals are nice, clap is great imo, perfect for uplifting
the saw-pad is sounds a bit amateurish, too thin and dry
nothing special with teh melody, but does the job done

ok track overall i'd say
keep up the good work

like the intro and the bass. kick could be fatter. doru malaia voices nice.

fx are good. nice work on the synth like the sound you have. pads are deep also. breakdown is good. although theres nothing original about it, it still has a nice sound.

good job on it! would like to hear it beefed up though.

Hmm. Hello

The first vox had to much attack imo. Took to long to come up, needs smoothin.

The beginning of tune could use more layers imo or some atmospheric elements. just to give it some signature during a mix in.

The saw melody is nicely placed in the mix. Imo the pads are quite fine. I dig the pads more than the melody.

The snare roll before break needs more precense. The sample is bad i think.

The melody did not change much ;/

It's to generic trance for my taste. Would like to see something else evolving after the break.

Thats all

Hi Nem sorry for not checking around earlier!
Nice tune you got m8! =)
I would like to colaborate with you =)
YOu have made very good work with compare with kick & the bass.
Its makes the sound more default not overfloating.

Cheers §=o)

Listening with cheap cyber coffee speakers so I am avoiding to comment about mixdown:

I concur with massive about the tune it is a bit generic, I would not use the doru vocal samples, but if I modify them alot with a granulizer or sort of, otherwise they are overused.
I like the sound of your clap, I am not a big fan of the pads, not the chord, is good, but I would make them fatter, they sound too much like the default sound of the intermodular from PRO 53, I would use some stereo enchancer with them, a bit more of resolution, just a lil bit and to add a bit of highs to it so it has more presecene into the mix, but they do the job like they are now, it is only they sound a bit flat for my taste.
In overal, it is a good production, kinda monotone, a plucked lead or a piano melodie would add alot more of interest, I like the drums sound, but the snare, I would work more with the effects over the Doru sample so it's less noticeable the pack where it comes from and to work more on the overall pad sound.
Keep it up.
Kopi =o.

IMO using the vocal samples are fine as long as you're not taking the track too seriously and just releasing it to your TA buddies which you are.. so that's fine.

You have some really nice digital fx happening in this track, The leads compliment each other harmonically well.. The clap sound you have in this one is really good and suits the song well.
