Neuchatel - Tanaka Highlands

Tanaka Highlands, the ricefields in the hills. I dont know what inspired me to name the track this, but it defininately put some bonus atmosphere to it. Its a melodic trance track, with a very suspenseful mood and a large arsenal of sound. I like it, and I hope you do also.

Appreciate comments.

Definately very atmospheric, nice laid back vibe. Nothing that really makes me want to listen to it again in terms of melody. A little too safe for me.

In terms of bassline, very lacking in creativity although I like the sound that you have used. Very nice indeed but feel that you could have given it a bit more drive if you had opted for another approach.

The track also has clipping issues and the bottom and needs to be sorted out.

Structure wise a very good piece indeed, the composition is musically sound other than the above.

I do however feel that you need to sort out some mix issues as there needs to be a little more clarity in your sound.

Good job but didn't rock my world.

Cheers
Nem

Thank you for the review. What you say about the bassline being uncreative I can maybe both agree and disagree, since there are many different basslines playing in there. But I understand you mean that the main is just regular 4/4. With that sound I couldnt do anything else, thats why I needed some suppliments. Yes its also little bit to loud and muddy in the bottom, and that definately need to be sorted out, because now its just a big mud in there...im thinking about changing the bassdrum.

Thanks
