looking for feedback

I just finished a new track called "A Walk Through Air" and I want some feed back on it. I'm new to trance and I need a little bit of guidance. Any feedback at all would be great. Here's a link:

alright mate, The style you are writing is not my preferred style so i cannot comment honestly!

But the song on your myspace called time traveller i love the synth u used for the main melody. which software are you using?

I hope someone can give you some constructive criticism to your song !

Cheers.

ah right cool man, i got logic just havin a look thru see if theres anything similar. its a cool sound man, id say its more up to date than some of the other synths u use on other songs. work on that tune man, calm the melody down a lil bit, keep it a bit more like the start of it. shud make a nice progressive track!

What exactly do you mean by "calm it down"?

well you know the melody up to 20s on the myspace version, well that is cool i think you could make a good prog track out of that, and the melody that comes after the drop i think just has too many notes in it, i think that riff would be great just before a drop, and then drop the first melody in with some droning pads...if you look up a song called 'before you leave' by ANR i think you could turn that melody into a chilled prog tune like that...

just my opinion! i think it has potential...

I'm having trouble finding that song >_<

I'm getting some ideas for that riff though. So what do you think about that other riff in there? It's the one towards the end.

That song is on beatport if you search for ANR in artists, or 'before you leave'

as for the other riff.. well i like it, but to be honest you have three styles of genre in one song. there all good in there own songs..the last melody would be great in some minimal song, something more techy. the middle section is a 'breaks' style song.

i think you should use the first riff in a song like i suggested, save the last riff for a more techy minimal style. and as for the middle riff. i think it is only suitible for a drop, its too in your face for a repetetive melody..

i cant hear what you have changed but u sound like your heading in the right direction, also what you do now is up to you, its all about what you feel sounds good, thats wat makes artists unique. it sounds like you know how to use your software so just have a play around with it see what you can get. If you would like me to have a play with it then send me the midi for the melody.

The funny thing is that I don't know what I'm doing with my software. I'm learning as I go. Thanks for the feedback
