EDZine: First of all, can you talk a bit about how you got into trance? You used to play metal; how did that change? Andrew Alexandrov: I had heard lots of classics before I really got into it, like Paul van Dyk - 'For An Angel', Orbital - 'Halycon On and On', and Sasha - 'Xpander'. One day, I decided to download an ‘A State of Trance’ episode randomly because I was interested in hearing more, and it so happened to be episode 325, so when I heard Aly & Fila - 'Lost Language' for the first time, that was it for me right there, goose bump track! So after that I downloaded almost every episode of ‘A State of Trance’ and ‘The Future Sound of Egypt’ and fell in love with uplifting trance. Artists such as Aly & Fila, Andy Blueman , SoundLift, and Arctic Moon, to name a few, were my main inspirations. But to this day I still love metal as well and still play lots on guitar.
