Two new tracks! Dark Techno and Funky Tech House

Hey guys just finished two new tracks. First is a dark techno track and second a pretty groovy tech house track. I have a question regarding acapellas though.. if you purchase an acapella legally can you use it in your track when signing to a label or is there other copyright issues when doing that? If anyone knows the answer to this pleease let me know! Thanks.

Any feedback is greatly appreciated Hope you like the tracks.

ps. No mastering has been done to either track.

if you've purchased an acapella and get your remix released most likely the label will give some sort of credit or royalties to the singer, but your record label will take care of those legal details. you as the artist shouldn't even worry about that, and a lot of times acapellas or melodic patterns/samples are used without informing the original artist and the plagiarist/sampler gets away without giving credit or paying anybody anything. it's a grey area when it comes to sampling ya know?

i think an artist has a moral obligation to give credit when credit is due, however.

Thanks for the clarification, i thought the artist had to pay for it as i've heard that before from a few people.. but thanks for the clear up!

When the bass comes in the first one, it's far too much to the left in the stereo channel. A sound that low should be all mono up to a certain point (equal in L and R), it has a lot of warmth but it's just way too much to the left. The track is cool but that kind of distracts me quite a bit.

The bass in the second one is a lot closer to how it (the bass in the first track) should sound. I think it sounds pretty good. A little variation in the bassline pattern could help. The highest frequency hi hats do seem slightly abrasive, just a bit bright and smashed.

Pretty quality work. Pretty loose and fun drums in each track.

Thanks man, i always like to hear your comments because you pick up on the little things that most others do not. I will correct that and probably lower the bass just a tad.. i think its a little too strong and over powering in the first track, dont you think? or should i just leave it and fix the stereo thing?

Thanks to whoever else has listened to the tracks!

Well the bass sound in the first one sounds pretty good, just make sure it sounds balanced in each speaker. The warmth and stereo quality for the whole patch is good, but frequency wise I mean make sure any sub frequencies are totally mono, and most of the low, low end.
