Jean Michel Jarre - Souvenir The Chine (Clear Sight Remix)

Uh ooh, how dare I touch this. This is gonna get me kicked of the forums I guess
But I really spent some time on this, I don't think I can do better at the moment (I wish I could, but life is unfair sometimes), so please dont tell me I raped it I already know it's not as good as Fire&Ice or Shane 54 Remix

Feedback is much appreciated as always

BTW I'm not 100% sure if Jean Michelle Jarre is the original artist, so is there anyone who can confirm this or tell me who is? thanks

Cool

it is Jean Michelle Jarre, and it's Souvenir De Chine i did have the video from him playing it live in moscow 1986 or summat, heh.

onto the tune. it is rather mint, it would be fucking amazing, but i don't personally like the main synth, everything else i like. would definately work live

Aye it's Souvenir De Chine by Jean Michelle Jarre.

I'm really liking it, you did a great job with this. The amount of time you spent on this really shows...buildup actually gave me the shivers.

I like the lead synth, it's got a different sound and it works well in the overall mix.

Only thing I would add is more percs, although I've always liked tribal tracks. Currently it all works very well.

It sounds good, always liked Jarre...he was my biggest fan when I was younger

I noticed distortion in some parts, think it's the kick/perc causing it. Besides that, it's a great track. Very good!

Great job!
I liked the whole atmosphere you've made throughout the tune, all those little choirs, strange synths and stabs really get you into it.
Alot of the elements you used there remind me abit of the house genre except the brake which has the typical uplifting buildup. Not your usual style I guess, it sounds great though and kind of original id say. And that is good!
The only thing I disliked there were those synths you used at the buildup, they don’t really fit in the atmosphere of the tune, I would suggest you to rather change them or to add another synth layer under them. But apart from that, this remix is amazing, I really enjoyed listening to it, and I guess ill keep listen to it in the future.

Well done there!

Phew! Finally got it John, and I can easily say this is some great work! Some of those synth sounds you have are amazing. You have loads of nice effects in there too. It's obvious you've paid great attention to detail in this one. Loved this - gonna listen some more methinks.

Great work with the remix all'n'all but the main synth does annoy me a bit. The waving "fly" kinda sound could be something smoother, more dreamy or maybe something more powerful and energetic would work too as the kick is pretty strong. Changing the synth would make the track flow better. Otherwise no complaints about the track. Well done and there is only one way to go now, UP!

I'm waiting for an updated version, hope you decide to make one!

BTW, Jean-Michel Jarre - Souvenir De Chine (Souvenir Of China in the US/UK) came originally out in 1982 and has been later remade by Fire & Ice as well as by Shane 54.
