Gerry Cueto - Seashells | beach trance

Hey,

Here it is. A new original tune entitled "Seashells". It contains a filtered distorted saw riff, sharp string pad-line, several crescendos with some percussion changes, and very fast kick rolls. Here's a direct link. I posted it here in the producers promotion forum to get some feedback from a producer's point of view, but anybody can listen and comment.

Gerry Cueto - Seashells

Updates
- Saturday, November 27, 2004. stronger clap and new kick Enjoy

Nice track man you might want to make the synth lead that comes in around 4:16 sound more dramatic with more volume and fx. Good work!

thanks Can you elaborate more on that? What is it exactly you want to hear there? If I dig your idea, I will definately change it.

Listen to DuMonde - See the Light and you'll know what im talking about. When the main synth lead drops in that track its really dramatic and epic, I think you should ride that feel for yours as well (to a lesser degree, to keep the "beach feel" of the track).

Nice produced tune overall but i think a sharper kick like in your other productions will work better in this tune.

there is a melody that is Similar to chicance-offshore.

nice melodies, synth wasn't really 100% keen on them, just basic saws, though greatly eqed, they didn't eat the whole tune like the usuall saw tunes.

guitar melody is really nice.

i really would make a better bassline for this, it sounds to commercial now.

Further it's a decent track imo.

needs a better kick, a bit harder, more low. I like the percussion and synths, good melody aswell. Pads in the break sound a bit generous but they suit the track pretty good. I miss a big low pad in the break, just to clarify the chords better. I dont really the gitar/flanger kinda instrument. THe melodie is good but i dont like the sound of it. I dont really like the sudden beat and percussion that come in, mayb a breakbeat would be cooler. Climax is ok but the melody doesnt really grab me after all. Decent track though, the mastering and the whole feeling of the track is very pro done.

Very pro sounding! Great job with EQing and levels..

I really like the synth you've used for the main melody, the guitar thing - whatever effects you've added make it sound pretty sweet.

The new kick & clap seem to work quite well! though I didn't get a chance to hear what it sounded like before you changed them.

very nice trancer over all!

oh before.. the clap was unclear... and the kick was more of a bass thud than a kick... I mean the kick wasn't bad in itself.. it would just fit a more prog-style tune, than epic trance.. if you know what I mean. It was a G&D kick... the one they used in their Above and Beyond - No One On Earth remix.
