Getz - Lets Get Epic (Uplifting Breakbeat) [192k mp3]

Getz - Lets Get Epic (192kbps Mp3)

Been working on this little baby for a couple of days now. Its not finished, I've still got a few little bits to add here and there, but I'm open to any suggestions

Created using Reason 3.0 - Sampled some of the drums myself and also recorded the synths using my mates Roland D50

Any feedback would be much appreciated =]

Thanks!

Hey, great to see another breaks producer around the place.

Nice solid beat on the intro and love the progression of the track through the opening stages. Cool little vocal sample (if thats what it is ) that comes in after the intro. Liking the reverse sounds also that come into the track. On the whole I do like the track and it varies quite a bit in sounds though purely by personal preference would like to see maybe a little bit more used on the fx.

From 4:15 onwards right through to the end I love the way it sounds, best part of it for me so maybe a bit more energy with that side of things a bit earlier in the track would do it more for me.

Hope you understand what I mean.

Nice track though and could be a real good one in the making.

Wow! Thanks alot mate for the feedback.. it really helps! Yea agree with you about it needing some more fx here and there, definately will work on that.

Glad you like the synths that come in after 4:15 But I think I'm gonna have to find something else to accompany it as it builds to give it more of an edge! and also maybe some rides too for the drums...I used an old Roland D50 to get those rich synth sounds and could easily hook you up with some samples if you wanted mate

Anyway I will be working on this in the next few days and will post an update soon =]

Thanks again for listening bro! If you've got any of your own production posted up I'd be interested in hearing them and giving you some feedback in return!

Cheers

No problem mate glad it can be of some help to you. Yeah I can see how its there to give it an edge and there might not be any need to change it just my favourite part thats all .

Would never object to some samples . If you could pm me about them that would be cool.

I've got a production further down the list at the moment and another 2 or 3 pages back I think.

Will definately check back for an improved version of this track

Cheers.

Just updated the file - made a few minor alterations. Changed the progression of the filter on the synth sounds past the 4:00 mark, making the last note sustain giving it more presence, and added a few little touches more of distortion. Also juggled around a few very minor percussion hits here and there. And also made some slight volume changes for a better mixdown.

DJ Balti - I'm scatching my head for ideas on fx... Did you have any area in particular you'd like to hear some fx added?

Also feel I need to add something in the mid section - between 3:20 and 4:00 ...but don't know what lol

Any ideas are appreciated!

Thanks

Still sounding a pretty good track there mate. Nice job.

As for fx suggesetions maybe a bit more on the reverb side of things before 4 minutes to give it bit more of a big room sound. This could also be applied to the 3:20-4:00 period maybe on either the drumloop or the vocal sample just to bring out one of them a bit more in the foreground. Maybe a tiny bass boost before the 4:00 mark could also help the progression of the energy as it builds up.

Maybe little flanger effects could also add some depths to some of the sounds. Don't know what it would do to the track in terms of sound though so don't want to suggest anything that would possibly ruin it but if you like the sound of it after some of these fx then can't see a problem with keeping them in the track.

Don't know if any of that is useful or makes much sense but hope it is of some use.

Cheers.

Mate I think you got it spot on, that advice was pretty much what I was looking for! Starting to think about areas I wasn't thinking about before.

I'm going to work on some reverb on the mid section to keep the large room feel throughout the track as it seems to die off around this part. And maybe tease a bit of the bass in on this point also before it starts to build with the synths. And maybe just a bit flanger type effect on some areas of the drums for a bit of variety.

Wicked! I'll be working on these areas.

Nice one mate, your feedback is much appreciated
