Smiling Frog Charlie D - Force of Nature

Charlie D - Force of Nature

Charlie D - Force of Nature(update#1)

Charlie D - Force of Nature(update#2)

Klick on the link to get track. I often hear that my tracks are more listening tunes than club tunes. I'm trying to improve on this so I'd like to hear if this is a clubtrack or not.

kind regards,

Charlie D

Music is as universal to people as breathing. We've probably been at it since before we even started talking. Immaging two cavemen smashing away at a peace of flint to make a spearhead. It wouldn't take long for them to learn te synchronise the sound. And there you have it, the words first percussive band.

Music has survived wars, famines, the plague and many other things and has evolved with man across many cultures. Dance music is just the next step in the evolutionary chain. My guess is that it will probably be with us untill we are extinced.

The main chord is maybe a little too penetrating at 3:15

nice kick to start.

clean and cool sounding.

0;28 sounds good. almost similar to underworld in sound choice. i like the sounds and the vocal cry.

1;52 - the synth that comes in works well.

break at around 2.40 - not too over the top. fits the track well. the build got me nodding and looking forward to the kick returning.

beat is back; nice but i wanted something more minimal, maybe the guitar/piano synth muddies it, not sure...

up till 4.39 i found the track really cool and dubby/proggy. the main melody @ 4.39 kinda put me off just cos its not quite my thing. it works tho. i bet it sounds nicer without that synth altogether

up to the 4.39 mark id give the track a lot of respect. its sophisticated and oozes an aquired style.

great clean production

rich

Yeah, I agree on that one. The synth at 4:39 is terrible. I was thinking of lowering it an octave, warming it up a little and putting it in the background. I was trying to get a lazy summery feel with it but it's very overactive and eratic, spoiles it completely.

Changes will be made. I'm gonna use more of the vocals, I have 4 minutes of it and am only using about half a minute. Might bring a little more melody into the mix. I was thinking of adding another pad track but i'm all out of CPU with 28 VSTi tracks going on.

kind regards,

Charlie D

why not mixdown and then carry on adding. as long as your not adding to the track too much it should be ok...

id do a dub version that uses the track parts you use up to 4.39 but make the buildup longer and more prog...

up to 4.39 is the best bit. its very sophsticated.

Don't want to mixdown because I might want to have it remixed some time or a B-side.

New version will be up by this evening, only a quick edit though. Final version by the end of next week.

alrite bud at your break! 6:15 when the kick starts building back up stick a snare roll in there it will work wonders for yah but just b4 the vocal and the kick comes back in give it a 1 second break for you will trick the listener into thinking the beat is just gonna come straight in after the snare roll and it should make them cream there pants (LOL). i love your productions & creativity man keep the good work up!
