Not bad! I used to love the original. I like that its proggy and chilled yet still has some of that old school trance feel to it. I think its pretty well produced and smooth and clean. Good job on the breaks in the middle. Only criticism I'd give is that its a little long and the the drums could be a little louder in your mix. But overall nice work.
Dont worry about DJ Ryans response, he is probably jealous that you psoted something that is worlds better than that mess of noise called a song he just posted.
See, its not very nice when someone just bashes your work and gives you no constructive feedback, doesnt it?

Yeah you're probably right, I tend to have a problem keeping everything compact and short. It's just than when you come up with a lot of different riffs/leads you want to use all of them and you don't want them playing too much at the same time (to avoid chaos and muddiness), so it sometimes results these 10 minute tracks that should be 8min or so.

I don't mind, he probably has a point somewhere and I would love to hear it so I don't make the same mistakes in the future.

Allthough I think the original club mix is the best version of them all. |
agreed!

I was suprised to hear some good old 303 acid-lines in there, but it sounds good! I miss the 303. |
Haha yep, I try to add oldschool influences to most of my tracks, and tb303 acid lines is one really important element that producers for some reason abandoned somewhere down the line.

Don't take offense. It could've been the best remix and I would've said the same thing. System F / Ferry Corsten is THE DJ in my book and any attempt to piggyback of his sound and creations is just blasphemy. |
I don't mind, I've used to criticism. However I wouldn't go too blind in that producer worshipping, nobody is perfect, you might miss few good remixes if you decide you hate them before you even hear them. Oh and btw, there was a remix competition of this track (and many other system f tracks) so there are probably thousands of these remixes, sleep well next night :P

dub mix please! i've always hated those vocals lol.
great remix though otherwise. very summery. it was a little slow to pick up but the breaks part really caught my attention again. |
Two dub mixes are already in the works, a regular dub based on this version and a dark dub with a darker atmosphere. Will post them when I get them finished.
If anyone is interested in this track I'll be happy to send a full copy to them on request.

Great Job! You def have some good tracks going there. Your drums sit well in the mix and it flows very nicely. IMO, I think you should take the dub and put the full vocals back in it and make the full remix at that track length or a little shorter and you're on the money. And if you do that, send it to me, cause I want it :-P
