proggy/tech track i'm working on

Hey all!

I started working on this track yesterday and here is what i got so far. I wanted to do something progressive but i ended up with some pretty weird sounds.

Anyways, i'd love to hear your thoughts about it if you have the time.

Thanks!

ok sounds good so far, i assume you will compress your kick so that it will sound constant throughout the whole mix, if you have vst support i recommend sidechaining your kick and bass with compadre, other than that, its a little dry (try reverb on some elements) the chops at the end would sound well at the end of every second phrase sequence or so, your mixing is pretty good, concept is definatelly present, i am not too familiar with this style except for that it needs more energy than this, i assume the lack of it due to the absence of major instrumentation..

how long have you been producing for? i remember i've heard a quick preview of something that you did last year, and it sounded pretty good in my ears.

Also, since this is not mastered, at the end you would have to maximize your track so that every frequency will sound to the max at its potential without distorting or overlapping with the rest of the waves.
That my friend is something that will come to you with practice.

Anyway, how would you like to write a little feedback to my tune?

i think its a few topics below, called Wolf24/Basic dawn rmx by Megaman (which is me)

nasty sound

Nice bass, try giving it a bit more monotone/center pan...

All I have to say is that the beginning techiness sounds kinda like the tune is buffering or something heh, try to make it a bit more distinguishable and iohoihiosahdsaa know what I mean :P?

i really like the bass line.. well done on it, the percs are pretty ok as well.. but i didn't like very much that skipping beat effect after the break.. i think i know what you wanted to do (it can sound really cool) but here it isn't exactly what it should be.. i mean, maybe try to re edit it slightly, add some wide reverb after each ending "skip"(if you know what i mean).. but they are just suggestions
keep up your work on it

maybe the section with the skipping needs to be anchored by somehow emphasizing the downbeats so as not to loose the pulse?

i like the bass aswell.. at first when i heard the tune i thought my mobile was going off for some reason shame the sample is so short.. would have loved to hear the full tune.. maybe add some shakers half way the breakdown.. im not to keen on that "broken cd" effect.. or maybe something went wrong with uploading?..

was a good listen anyway, keep it up.
