Dan Medland
Bio:
One phrase can be used to ‘label’, if you will, Dan Medland’s style……GOOD. DANCE. MUSIC. He plays all across the spectrum from funky house to peak techno, but it all seems to have one common sound, a sexy tribal groove. This soulful sound, along with seamless mixing has earned Dan top billing at almost every club in our Nation’s capital, Ottawa, and with almost 10 years experience, Dan knows how to take crowds for a ride through the gambit of human emotions.
Dan’s great versatility, skills, and track selection have earned him gigs with DJs of varying styles of music. Dan has played abreast Preach, Montreal’s techno juggernaut; Palash, of Saeed and Palash; Bad Boy Bill; Montreal house guru, Rob Brown; and renowned Canadian DJ/Producers Stephan Grondin and Luke Fair, just to name a few.
Having felt it was time to expand his musical reach, and broaden his knowledge and presence in the Canadian dance music scene, Dan relocated to Toronto, where he is keeping very busy. Dan is the booking agent for TeknoTurtle Produxtions artists in the Toronto area (http://www.teknoturtle.ca), he started working on some of his own original productions, and, of course, Dan still finds time for his first love……moving dancefloors with his sexy tribal rhythms.
