Where to get legal Mp3's of new songs?

Sorry if this has been asked, but I tried searching and MP3 is not long enough for a search term :P.

Anyways, I just wanted to know where people are getting MP3's of new releases, legally. Do you need to know someone at a record label, or are there websites that have this as an option?
