Hey everyone -

Well, the TSA fried my old laptop a few weeks ago on the way to Detroit, and so I just got my new iBook, and the only complaint I've got about it is that there is no recording software. My old laptop came pre-loaded with Sound Studio, which was sick because it was just a simple, easy to use recording/editing program I could use to record sets. Now I don't have it, and I guess I'm just a little tight on money at the moment, so I can't afford to just drop the $50 on the license at the moment, but I'd like to get back up and running as far as recording goes.

If anyone has a recommendation on decent freeware for recording, I'd really appreciate it, because right now, I've got nothing...

*Oh and as a side note, I'm recording from an M-Audio Firewire Audiophile... don't know if that's necessary pertinent information, figured it couldn't hurt thought. Thanks again.

was going to say the same thing. Haven't used garage band much but that might work too.
