I was wondering if anyone knows what instrument or MIDI number it is that makes that synth sound in a lot of euro/dance/trance tracks? It is used by Becca in 'come and get my love' and 'come and get my love' and in nearly every Alice Deejay track.
Also, what about the instrument used by Darude in 'Sandstorm'?

not sure what sound your talking about, but you can get some really kick ass sounds by using a stinging brass stab, chorusing it, and detuning one of the oscillators ever so slighty....

midi number? I hope you don't mean general midi cuz those instruments usually pretty much suck. If you want the best synthsounds you'll have to make them yourself. And the darude thingy is a detuned thingy, high pitched, with distortion on top.
