software for a newbie
just got the urge to start mixing when i have some free time. since i've heard about mixing right on a laptop/desktop, i figured i'd use a program that makes this possible rather than buying turntables. any ideas/suggestions??

Traktor is a good beginner program. Ableton is a little out of most peoples budget if they are just starting.

You should also consider PCDJ software. They also have relatively cheap hardware controllers if you want to get a little closer to having a full setup.

Def Suggest Traktor. As a beginner Ableton is way to hard to figure out. I know from experience from using my friends. Traktor works decent with any one of the many cheap controllers (hercules, dm2). Good Luck
