Numark 3002x / Replacement Mixer

Hey guys,

I've been dj'ing since december and more and more i've come to realize that i'm outgrowing the mixer I have now, the Vestax PVC-03A. The simple and basic stuff was really nice to not have for any distractions while I was learning, but now I want more control over my mixer.

So here beginneth the search for a new mixer. Here's what I think I want, let me know what you all think..
More control of tone (high mids lows + pan and trim) or something like that,

adjustable crossfader
individual levels..
3 chan? (maybe)
split/cue feature
kill switches for hi/mid/lo

I think that's it.. I can afford about a 250 dollar mixer because I hope to sell my Vestax I have now.

I'm looking at the Numark 3002x. What do you guys think about this mixer? I know it has all of the features i listed above, and is definately in my price range (~200). But does it sound as clean, will it break? is it as solid as the Vestax is? What else should I look at? I know about the Stanton RM3s... Is there a vestax in this price range for these features?

Thanks

Wozz

PS I'm new here, I'm really happy to find forums that are THIS active on my favorite subject! holy cow.

I have the Numark 3001X and it's golden. Has all the EQ's, you can assign the meter to read whichever channel you want to make your gains at the same level for each record. It's like having your own LED for each channel like the 3002X has.

Kill switches, Toggle switch. Main or separate channel mix in headphones.

IT's awesome.

I've used Numarks for many many years. Never heard of them breaking easy. And they are cheap to fix and have good warrenty.
