Distortion on Shure Whitelabel needles

Ok i bought 2 Shure Whitelabel needles 2 weeks ago, and today i realised loss of sound quality i think, but when i turn the sound up, it makes like "tch" sounds.

The OTHER needle is just fine when i try out the SAME song, but this needle seems weird.

NOW people say theyve had them over 7 months without any problems....this has been 2 weeks...less even.

what do i do???

i ordered this on a online shop btw.

I can't believe all this shit is happening to me now....what great fucking luck.

EDIT: I just touched some cords on the back of the mixer and it seems like the "tch" sounds have gone...but so has the bass

Well i never touched it, i just left it on the same weight as before, all of a sudden this morning it was weird.

But the thing that pisses me off most is that Shures have been considered the BEST needles ever, NOW in this case it might be the mixer or it might 100% be the needle.

Cause i touched some cords in the back of the mixer, and it seemed to remove that distortion sound...BUT now bass has been lost.

uhhh i'm too confused atm

No disses or nothing, but where did you hear this from?
Becuz I do believe that most DJ's would prefer to have the Ortofon Nightclubs compared to any Shure needle. Maybe if they are hardcore stratch DJ's they may want the M-447 but other than that, the Ortofons are the top choice for quality.

All I can say is....its personal preference, some people will prefer Shures...some Ortofon....some even Stanton..LOL....it just depends on the individual, my number one choice is the Nightclubs, but some people will say Whitelabels...some might say Trackmasters, its just personal...like headphones.
I've heard a fair few problems like this, and people have to send one back and get a new one, so I think its a randon defect thing that is happening.
These carts are new so expect problems, Ortofon had problems at the beginning, the connectors inside for Ortofons, you know the 4 little dots to connect to the tone arm, well they were flat, and many people had BAD connections cos of this, but now there rounded, and are fine, plus they were made ONLY for Technics really, you plug them into some other deck and they might not work, they didn't on my Geminis.

What decks you got anyway Psygnosis?

EDIT: from what you said about the connection at the back, I would get some RCAs that YOU KNOW WORK, and plug them in to see if the problem continues, if not...buy a dog and name him BINGO.

No, he means that the Ortofons were pretty much only made for the Tech's, back in the day
