no replies....a better explanation of my problem is it's just stuck...maybe soda or something was spilled on it...anyway, if i were to take these appart to see if i can loosen up the rpm button...am i taking a big chance? ... like springs or other parts that are tough to put back in place or set?

right...i think the button is just stuck and needs to be popped from the bottom. this requires me to open up the turntable...i just wanna make sure that by opening it up i will cause problems. i don't plan on touching any of the belts, motor etc....just that button

i checked out the disassembly guide last night, and it seems a little vague on some steps. I believe the first picture shows the black plastic that's under the tone arm. It doesn't say how to correctly remove the tone arm. I see some scrrews, but I'm not sure which one's are to come off. Anybody do this before? Have an idea of how to correctly do so? Or know of a more detailed guide?
