Just a few Q's???

this may sound like a stupid question (and it probably is) but do i need n e thing else besides my 2 decks, my mixer and my hedphones to dj in a club?? oh and jus a lil Q 4 yall about wot needles you use?? (i use ortofon om pro) and i have this hip hop record that keeps skippn wen eva i scratch i think its coz the grooves are hell shallow, i set up my anti-skating and tonearm properly (im pretty sure) but how can i fix it, do i jus have to add more weight?? oh and wen do u's all get ure first dj gear and how long did i take you till you were happy enuff with ure skills and confident enough to go 4 gigs??how long should it take?? do u think a midi controller or a synth is a must wen producing trance music?? wots the best option 4 me?? um... i think i'll stop now or else i'l just keep thinkin of stuff, peace out!!

Well if you were playing at a club usually the club would have tt's and a mixer already there. You may have to or prefer to bring your own needles. But yeah you need 2 tt's, a mixer, headphones, needles, speakers and/or an amp, and alot of records.

About the record skipping, i'm not to sure. the record could be worn or your tonearm settings could be off for the needle your using. Or (correct me if i'm wrong) you may be using a needle that should not really be used for heavy scratching.

Everyone is different when it comes to learning to mix. All i can say is not to be discouraged when you become frusterated because you can't get 2 records to mix together, everyone deals with this at first but just keep practicing and it get easier.
