for those who don't know what i mean, i'm reffering to those two buttons on either sides of the crossfader...
anyway...
my mixer(Gemini BPM 250) dosent have them...
i found out that by using the switches that switch between line2 to phono2 etc. i can kinda do the efect of the punch buttons and other kewl stuff...

i just wanted to tell u guys bout it and ask if it harms the mixer in some way?

No, it will not harm the mixer in any way.. alot of dj's are doing it and no problem with their mixers.

punch buttons are cool. They make it so that you can stay on channel 1 and litterally punch channel 2 in there for a bit, as opposed to putting x fader in the middle, and having the volume on channel 2 a bit higher, then putting the x fader back to channel 1.

Yeah, I have punch buttons too, and for the hell of it I tried using the switch you talked about but when i do that, I tend to get a "clicking" noise when i switch it, which happens less when I use punch buttons.

You'll find that if you get into some heavy duty scratching switching a knob won't do either, it's gotta be either slapping crossfader around or, handy, punchbutton-bashing (oh it's sooo much fun mixmaster mike-ing)

I dont know why the f*ck numark even bother putting punch buttons on thier mixers, the make a horrible "click" sound whenever they are pressed.
