nice setup but i wouldn't bought the efx when you're still a starter! be sure to concentrate on beatmatching and the flow of the set rather than playing on the effects! :-)
have fun! :-)

i agree to not even hook up the efx unit until you have beatmatching down. i have been djing for almost 3 years and my efx unit is hardly ever used

Ah sorry should of said im not new to this been mixing for something like 4 years on a pair of stantons str8-100's and a pair of cd players with a crappy beringer mixer. The efx is something iv been wanting to get to further develop my mixing skills

when i played with Pole Folder a couple of weeks ago, he showed up with his brand new 909 (big brother to the 707). at first, i thought "what a primadona", and was a little pissed it was a 2 channel mixer.
but all i can say is WOW.
if the 707 is anything like the 909, you'll love that thing.

nar, iv used them both... the 707 is like striped down to the bone basic... where about the 909 is like a fully loaded 2 channel 600
but im happy for you, i got my Technics not to long ago off e-bay as well... and i LOVE them and will NEVER look back...
have fun with your new toys

Yea the 707 is the cut down version of the 909 , basicly its without all the effects but the evx should make up for that and this way i can take my efx along with me when i play out instead of a whole new mixer.
