Whats up everyone. I just started djing and i have grasped beat mixing trance somewhat. I was just wondering how do you beat mix hip hop?

ehm same idea, match the bass hits, and the snare drum hits, and all that good stuff maybe its just what I see, but hip hop djs seem to have a lot "uglier" transitions maybe its my biased...

I learned how to beatmatch with hip hop and then moved onto trance later...What I always do is match the snares on the 2nd beat...Since snares in hip will be on different beats then the normally 2 and 4 like trance, you have to reeally no your records...

listen to the bars and match them up... hiphop, u can count 1 2 3 4, and bob your head to the beat.. thats the way i do it, i kinda make an imaginary 1 2 3 4 beat in my head and match them up.. or use melodies, snare drums, vocals...
