Modifying X-Faders

Hello again everyone...

Just wondering if anyone here has had any degree success (or not) in modifying the crossfader that came as standard with your mixer.

It doesn't matter if you bought a cheap new X-Fader, or an Expensive one, or even if you were fitting it onto a shoddy mixer, or a fantastic new Xone 92. Just to hear any stories and to discover any advantages or problems you may have had.
