Just wanted to know if anyone has used these, seems like a biatch to take them out and put them in during a mix to hear whats coming out of the monitors.

if you had inner ear phones, why would you need booth monitors? you can simply cue the master channel and hear exactly as it sounds.

but to answer your questions, a quick search will yield discussions that have been had about the shure phones. i think there are several TA's who use them currently.

I saw LTJ Bukem using in-ear phones a few months back, as far as I remember he never took them out throughout his set.

Satoshi Tomiie uses Shure E3 too.

They do the trick in a surprising fashion. The only issue is the cable length

i have the shure E2c - amazing sound qual & sound isolation...ive used them messing around dj'ing and unless you are going to keep them in then don't bother as they are fiddly...

I much prefer my senny HD 25's for spinning!

the point of having in ear monitors is so that you don't need to crank your sound. it provides a good seal that you can play anything at relatively low volumese compared to dj headphones where, at least in my cases, tend to play them pretty loud
