Hey guys, any recommendations on a good, not-too-expensive midi-controller to use with the lastest version of traktor?
Preferrable under $800
I see this Vestax VCI-100, anyone have personal experience with that? also others by numark, hercules, etc.

A friend of mine got the VCI 100 and is very happy with it. I don't know of many controllers under 800 bucks. There's the M-Audio one but I don't think it's as good as the Vestax.

A lot of people are using the Allen & Heath Xone:1D with traktor. However, most people who do are also using the timecode control functionality or another control device as well.
i got a numark total control, was thinking of complementing it with a trigger finger or an oxygen8. don't know how suitable it will be now with traktor pro coming out.

looks like, they aren't.
if those dj use it : http://faderfox.de/html/miscellaneous_page.html
I highly doubt those DJs "use it". They were probably just seen trying it out once. Hawtin uses a Xone 3d so you can certainly scratch his name of the list.

He uses either a Xone 92 (or 62) with 2 Xone 1D controllers.
2 laptops, 1 running ableton and one running Trakotr Scratch (with the Traktor scratch 3 addition to give him four deck support, though he'll probably be on Traktor Scratch Pro now.
All this is taken from that awesome promotional video though so who knows what he's playing on now.
I think the above is right.

Oh you are right, my bad. He does use that setup indeed. Sorta looks like a Xone 3d when you put it all together
