Ok, now everything is set up properly I am using audacity to record the music but now there is another problem. When I record and listen to the playback on my laptop or my other computer. The sound is very "bassy" I tried lowering the inputs on audacity. It helps a bit but it still isn't crisp. There is still that bassy sound to it. What else can I do to get it crisp and clear.

record with your mids and lows slightly lower on your mixer. you could also use a cheap program like wiretap or spin dr. through Toast that are both easy to use and have good sound quality.
