Alright I am new to the city I am residing in. Last week I went to one club and the DJ had Sereto, but it didn't touch the tables. Just used his mouse on the computer. With disappointment I tried a new club in the city. This one was even better, Virtual DJ. So after that news I sat down...

I have been DJing for a few years and i think i am good to hit the club seen. i am just getting my stuff together for the next school year in this city to DJ. I am going to be DJing and stuff at home over the summer on the lower level to get better and organized. I run Torq with an Xponent right now due to finances and space. I am going to try to get my hands on some CD players this summer and get going. After what i saw around here i believe that i can turn the scene around here for the best!

So for the final note... Any thoughts on the situation? love to hear some feedback! Another quick question... OK I don't think i have enough for a CDJ 800MK2 set up at the moment. I was thinking of a Stanton Digipak V4. Would this be good to go or should i really wait like a full year running the Xponent and the Sereto at the club for the time being and save the money for a better setup? Any feedback is awesome guys. Thanks in advance.

You've answered your own question mate, save up and get the better gear. Trust me you'll just waste your money otherwise. Find a way to earn the money quicker (not going out etc) and get the gear you really want

Seems strange that they would run Serato without touching the decks.

Yeah if i was running Serato i would at least make something out of it. All the DJ did was throw his mouse around and text his buddies. Guy didn't even beat match or sync tracks either. And that was the same situation for the other club that had VD. I wonder how much these n00bs are getting paid.

That's awesome! I live more towards the Antigonish area... Not too much of a scene around there either. I am not currently in NS at the moment though.

Are you going to St. FX out there? A guy I know used to go there and he was a DJ but he graduated like 2 years ago!

I'm from like 20 mins outside of halifax! Going to school in Toronto now.

Dont know how much of an EDM scene you will find in Antigonish though!
