djm & xone 92

I was looking to getting the A&H 92 until i saw the price. then i remembered a lot of ppl flaming pioneer for overpricing. However, the djm-600 is nearly $700 cheaper at the online dj shops like djmart. I cannot see why this mixer is so expensive. it does not seem to have that much over the djm. I guess i should just stick with my djm-600 ...

Hey M8!

There is absolutely no comparison bet. Xone 092 and djm600. A&H Xone 092 reg. faders($1699.00) much higher quality of a mixer than Pioneer djm600($1099.00). Even without talking about the dual independent filters and all the other features that make djm600 look like a Fisher-Price or Playskool toy, but comparing straight up mixer vs. mixer output, djm600 sound output is crap compared to even Xone 062 or the Rane Empath, or IMO the Tascam X-9. I see more and more clubs switching from djm600 to Allen & Heath mixers, whether they finally realized that the sound quality of A&H mixer is a "Zillion" times better than Pioneer or whether they are tired of constantly having to fix the djm mixer(such as the case was at our Club before going to Xone 062, Xone 464, and Xone 092).

I have no problem giving a really good price on Xone 092, but these mixers are in a very high demand and availability of them is very low, so it may take me a few days to get one for you from Allen & Heath factory. However, if you still decide to go to an alternate mixer due to cost vs. features and benefit, Consider the following mixers before you think about djm600.

Rane Empath
Tascam X-9
Crest Audio 6210 + 6220 XPansion module
Allen & Heath Xone 464
Denon DN-X1500
Eccler Nuo 5

i actually traded my tascam x9 in for my current djm600. I really did not like the tascam for many reasons. The knobs were dinking and small and they kept sticking. I also did not like the way the effects were arranged. Moreover, with my djm600 i find my recorded mixes sound warmer. The only reason I was looking into getting the A&H is because most places have it and I am already acustom to the djm now and I would like to be prepared for the a&h for club usage. Moreover, I find myself always wanting something new. It is not really the price. It is just interest sake why the difference. It is the only mixer I would sell my djm to get. Also, it is not avalible here in korea, just the 62. And no worries I could buy it without worring about duty b/c i have friends in the army which is the same as having an american address

Let me know

cheers...

The A&H 92 is a great mixer, but to call the DJm a toy is a lot of bollocks. I have just bought an A&H and I love it, but I also have great praise for the DJm with IMO is a much easier m,ixer to use and has just as many features..

you mean a list of mixers in order of preference if I was to buy one, which actually I will be in a matter of next 3-4 weeks, just have to make up my mind as well,

Allen & Heath Xone V6 + cross fader module and other optional modules to make it complete, but cost around $9,000.00 to 11,000.00USD

Allen & Heath Xone 092r - Rotary
Allen & Heath Xone 092 - regular faders
Crest Audio 6210 + 6220 XPandion/ cross over
Tascam X-9
Allen & Heath Xone 464
Allen & Heath Xone 062
Eccler Nuo 5
Denon DN-X1500
Rane MP44

Personally I am stuck choosing between Xone 092(regular sliding faders), Tascam X-9(had one before), Crest Audio 6210 +6220XP, and Xone 464.

Cheers...

I've been DJing at different clubs on variety of mixers. While the feel and the sound quality of Rane and A&H mixers might be better then my DJM-600, they can't compare with the easy to use and straight-forward layout and features like split cue, effects, accurate gain meters, etc... I still love my DJM-600 eventhough the quality can be improved.

I think it boils down to personal preference in the end anyways!

Whichever one you like should be the one you get.

Enough with flaming of 600. It is an awesome mixer with everything that you will ever need. Even if I had money for A&H mixer, I would still pick my 600 over any other mixer.

sorry stan, im not saying the 600 is a piece of crap, but it definitly is not even close to the same quality of the xone:92 or most of the A&H mixer for that matter.

if you you want effects, look into the x-9 from tascam, a very nice mixer. i almost bought it, but instead im saving for my xone:92.

Can I ask what it is that makes it so much better?? Because quality wise the DJM is a machine aswell.

Excellent resonsive kills and a great fx unit(MUCH BETTER THAN THE X9)
