Big Ears How does one start?

Hey, Im new. New to everything trance, dance, techno, nething really. But, I love it. I found it 2 years ago, and I just love it guys. Ive always been into music, mostly rock and such, but I have a HUGE problem. I have an inate desire to make my own music, but I have no real idea of how to even approch electronica as an artform (I can dance, but i dont know the smallest detail when it comes to producing or even DJing). Im just looking for some tips or examples of how to get started, right now im to intimidated to even buy a turntable or put money on some software. Im hoping this will be helpfull not just to me, but to everyone else out there whom I KNOW are thinking the same things.

If you want to create the music, go into the production studio forum. If you want to play the music, this is your forum.

Btw, what does the upside-down flag signify?

Thanks for the redirection. seriously. The upside down flag means "This vessel under distress" usually at sea. Thanks again.
