My friend had that mixer, so i got a chance to try it a few times... and everytime i used it i loved it!
The effects are the most amazing thing.. they're precise as hell, and sound natural and warm.
Get this mixer.. you won't be dissapointed!

I had a Roland ages ago. Can't even remember the type. It was supreme then, so the new ones should be too.
If you ever spell beer or whatever in it, just power down and blow it dry with a hair blower. It worked for me ...

Make sure to give it a test run before you buy it though. Some Roland mixers (the DJ-1000 and 2000) - especially the older models - have some problems with the DSP section. They would cut out the sound for several milliseconds when changing the channel assignment for the FX (on the 1000 there is a rotary knob in the top right corner, don't know about 2000). This results in an audible and very annoying 'pop' noise, making the DSP virtually useless. This was the only reason why I decided to return my DJ-1000 and get something else.

If you do get one without this problem then you're good - Roland mixers are definitely one of the better ones in that pricerange.

Yeah, Check out also the Aleen$Heath Xone-32... it's a bit cheaper and has an awesome filter, no other effects tho.. but the sound quality is much better!
But the DJ-2000 is more durable, it's built like a tank.. nothing can ruin it! and the effects on it are awesome!!! way cooler than the ones on the Pioneers! anyway, either way you go, you'll be good.. both mixers are superb in both sound and build.
