This Halloween weekend, Verboten descends upon the Big Easy for a long weekend of music, art and debauchery at THE VOODOO EXPERIENCE PRESENTED BY STEPHEN REHAGE in New Orleans. Based on the overwhelming response to its dedicated electronic dance music area LE PLUR, the festival continues the dance marathon with DeJa Voodoo Is Verboten after parties from electronic artists who are appearing as part of the VOODOO line-up.

Throughout VOODOO’s Halloween weekend celebration--Friday, October 28, Saturday, October 29 and Sunday, October 30--some of world’s top underground talent will perform at the fan favorite Le Plur area including Cassy; Claude VonStroke; Craig Richards; Danny Howells; Deniz Kurtel; Lee Burridge; Maya Jane Coles; Soul Clap; Tanner Ross; Voices of Black; and Wolf+Lamb. As the VOODOO EXPERIENCE wraps every night, these acts will then appear at historic New Orleans venues on Friday @ The Howlin’ Wolf, Saturday and Sunday @ Republic, as part of DeJa Voodoo is Verboten, a three-night series of official VOODOO After-Dark Parties with world-renowned DJ's performing sets from midnight-6:00 AM. 2011’s THE VOODOO EXPERIENCE PRESENTED BY STEPHEN REHAGE in New Orleans’ City Park will feature its traditionally eclectic line-up including a variety of exclusive U.S. festival appearances from Soundgarden and Blink-182; performances from the recently reunited Raconteurs, Steve Angello, the original members of X, plus Snoop Dogg, TV On The Radio, Fatboy Slim, Girl Talk and many more.

The Man; City and Colour; Mates of State; Fishbone; Soul Rebels Brass Band; Gordan Gano of the Violent Femmes and The Lost Bayou Ramblers; Members of Morphine and Jerry Lyons; Bonerama featuring Dave Malone of the Radiators; Ani DiFranco with Ivan Neville & Herlin Riley; Daedelus; Dirty South; Givers; Mike Relm; The Travelin' McCourys featuring Keller Williams; Blind Pilot; The Wombats; THREE; Peelander-Z; The Sheepdogs; Bangerz; Star Eyes; Bobby Rush; The Stone Foxes; Red Baraat; The New Orleans Bingo! Show; Morning 40 Federation; Cassy; Claude VonStroke; Craig Richards; Danny Howells; Deniz Kurtel; Lee Burridge; Maya Jane Coles; Soul Clap; Tanner Ross with Voices of Black; and Wolf+Lamb.



VOODOO’s annual musical celebration is on display through its three unique performance areas: Le Plur - VOODOO’s electronic dance music space which celebrates an amazing list of electronic talent from around the world; Le Ritual - where the main stage worships the music of the world’s most renowned artists; and Le Flambeau’s two performance spots (Preservation Hall Tent and the WWOZ Stage) which honor the roots and history of New Orleans music and its inspiration on others. Each of VOODOO’s individual performance areas is enhanced by the use of interactive art set amid City Park’s lush lagoons, bayous and one of the largest collections of mature oak trees in the world.

Tickets for the 2011 VOODOO are available now via www.thevoodooexperience.com utilizing Elevate’s easy online shopping experience--with helpful customer service--that allows buyers to print their own tickets. A limited number of pre-sale tickets are available through June 8 at these prices: three-day weekend GA tickets are $150; LOA Lounge VIP three-day pass are $425 and LOA Lounge VIP three-day pass with parking are $475. In addition, concert-goers can utilize the VOODOO EZ Pay on any ticket purchase over $300. EZ Pay now features two equal layaway payments--the first deduction will be made the day of purchase with one subsequent payment 30 days later.



Tickets for the DeJa Voodoo is Verboten official VOODOO After-Dark Parties are available here. Tickets inclusive of entry to the VOODOO EXPERIENCE and the After Dark parties are available for $250 (General Admission) and $290 (VIP). To attend the DeJa Voodoo by Verboten parties ONLY, 3 Night Party Passes are available $80 (General Admission) and $99 (VIP).

In addition, VOODOO has again partnered with the Marriott New Orleans in the Historic French Quarter offering concert-goers a special $149 per night VOODOO rate. Details can be found here. i knew the saturday card was strong, but i didn't see the sunday lineup. wow i might consider going. the voodoo festival is always a good place to listen to some good music.
