i made a new mix that i hope some of you all will like. it starts off pretty minimal then techno-ish, then gets a little more progressive towards the end. i made the mix with ableton live, 2 cdj's, and an efx-1000 sending/getting midi to/from ableton live. thanks to alok for hosting this mix while my website is giving me hell. below is the track listing.
1.) EgoExpress - Live at Sirius Prime - Original Mix
2.) Bjorn Wilke - R U Ready Ralph - Pascal FEOS Remix
3.) Sebastian Roya - Distancias - Original Mix
4.) Peace Division - Blacklight Sleaze - Original Mix
5.) Layo & Bushwacka - Feels Closer - The Sycophant Slags Remix
6.) Bjoern Stolpmann - Since I Began to Be - Ivo Deutschmann Remix
7.) Stephen Bodzin - Bedford - Original Mix
8.) Julian Jeweil - Air Conditionne - Original Mix
9.) Water Lilly - Invisible Ink - Black Strobe's Arnaud Rebotini Mix
10.) Stavostrand & Skugge - Medean - Original Mix
11.) Deadmau5 - Subvert - Original Mix
12.) Sebastian Leger, Chris Lake - Striped Flower - Original Mix
13.) Chab - Five - Andrea Introvigne Zero 8 Remix
14.) Benz & MD - Turning The Curve - Perry O'Neill Remix
15.) Solee - Impressed - Original Mix

i paid almost $700 for a new one. i got an awesome deal online. the price was kind of steep but it was well worth the money. i actually haven't used an EFX-500 but if it has the main features the EFX-1000 does, i'm sure it will be just as great. if you have ever used Ableton live or some other computer-assisted DJ software, and you have an external sound card that has a midi input and a midi output, the efx-1000 is amazing because you can send the bpm of your turntables or cdjs to ableton live and throw in loops or tracks or whatever you want perfectly beat matched with whatever you are spinning. it really opens a bunch of doors for creativity while mixing! add in a midi controller with keys and knobs mapped to a different effects on ableton and you pretty much have a 2nd efx-1000 just for ableton live

Nice mix dude. Listened to it on the plane this morning. There's a weird but pretty cool mix at around 51 minutes...was that the EFX at its finest or was that part of the actual track? It sounded like a cool delay effect.
What's the name of the track that punches in at 45 min? It sounded awesome.
Great artwork for the mix too. You make that from scratch?

I thought this mix was really good Javier - I enjoyed it. I do have to say though that I lost interest with the last two or three tracks, something just seemed quite different from the mood of the whole mix that far. Great mixing, great layering, great effects: A+

The track that comes in around 51 minutes is called Subvert. It comes in while the track Medean is still full force.

The track around 45 minutes into the mix is Invisible Ink. The track gets kind of nasty but in a good way. Definitely one of my new favorites. And as far as the artwork... I wish it were all from scratch, but all I did was add the text to it. My computer is messed up badly and I had to buy an external HD yesterday to backup all of my music and important files which is why I haven't been able to find that logo for you, but I should have it up and running by tonight.
I'm glad you liked the mix (you too ExposureShow)!

i'm glad you enjoyed this mix Xevious (as well as my DJJO_003 mix )! the remix of Your Loving Arms on that mix is the Damien Heck remix. i really like that remix... you should also check out the Bush II Bush remix which has this nice deepish/tech house sound (in my opinion).
