What's up with lame track names?

I guess I'm just a bit mystified as to why many producers spend weeks and sometimes months on a production and give their tracks such threadbare names as "Let's Dance" or "Take this Bass" or "SonicWonder". I could go on and on. If I put a month into a production, my soul into it, the last damn thing I'm going to call my song is "Dance Nation".

I am just ranting because I think producers should put some thought into the names they give their songs. Giving a tune a flippant name makes me wonder if the same sort of flippancy was used in the production of the song in the first place.

What if Mario Puzo would have called The Godfather "Mean Italian Guys" or my favorite, what about instead of Trainspotting----- "Heroin is Bad".

From now on, if someone calls their song "Wave Your Hands" or "Move to the Rhythm" I'm going to shove a 3-wood up their ass, end of story. I'm flat out going to grab the nearest tube of anal lube and stick it head first until it comes out the other end and you can see the words Callaway or Taylor Made on it, that's how much it gets me.

Maybe becasue the song's vocals are normally simple and they use those vocals as the name of the song. Phrases like "let's dance" are simple and easy for crap producers to come up with.

trance doesn't have a lot of vocals so its hard to get a meaning in the song, like this song is about "how you feel after pulling a four foot tube of lube out your ass". Actually, there's a good idea right there.... "goin' in dry, comin' out wet".

I agree though, the names are average but the only thing you can do about it is make songs yourself and give them good names.

I've chatted with a lot of amateur producers and most of them seem to be having problems with the same thing: thinking of a track title. It seems like the tracks are a lot easier to do than they are to name.

Most of the time I tend to find the track names "within" the tracks (and I thank God every day that none of my tracks have had a "Dance to the Beat" or "Bass in your Face, Beat'in yo' Ass!" in them) but sometimes I just have to take out my good ol' dictionary and search for cool titles there...

My point? I thought I had one but I forgot what it was.
