Just got back...
I liked Ferry @ Roxy better but it was still a great night.
Too bad I was too tired to remember much of it.
I remember reading someone wanting to hear Adagio For Strings at his first time at Exit - well, he finally got around to playing it.
He did a 3-song encore, finishing with Out of the Blue.
Does anyone know the first two, which were really epic?
Before that, Jason Jollins did a superb job opening up. I knew I had to rest up, but with his tunes, I just couldn't sit down!
I wasn't feeling Ornadel too much at the beginning of his set, but he sure got things going later on. I remember him playing Venus early on and Proceed near the end.
I think turnout was lower than I've seen before, since the entire second floor balcony was closed off, except to go to coat check or to go to one of the upstairs rooms. Was that the plan of the promoters?
Also I just noticed - what's with the Chinese signs there?

Yeah I just got home, Im really tired so I'll make it quick. The meet was great with Ferry joining us. At Exit we waited in line for a hour in the cold windy rain, but it was all worth it. Sorry Jason didnt get to hear your set, but im sure it was the best. Guy was wonderful too. WoW Ferry was crazy, out of control. I remember I was dancing and saying oh shit oh shit out loud I forgot what was playing at the time. Thanks Ferry for meet up with us.
Also my car got broken into through the window, they took my favorite black leather jacket and my in-dash cd player. The one think Im pissed of is that they took my Basement Jaxx CD those ASSHOLE. Other than that the night was unreal.
i missed out on a good nite. i'm glad u guys had fun tho!
i decided to go last minute seeing as i actually got comped to this damn nite from guy himself! but got there around 12:20, stood in line for an 1+ hr in the freezing rain and decided to bounce since i had only planned to hear guy anyway. seen ferry a coupla times so wasn't really planning on hearing him again. But from what it seems, i shoulda stayed.
thanks to ricky for offering to let me and my gf cut tho, i shoulda jumped in with you, but i was waiting for a friend so...yea. in retrospect, it would've made my whole nite for the better if i jumped in. *sigh.....
well, post more reviews everyone! and i'll see you guys next friday at pvd...

let me...as binkun's pissed off gf, give a slightly more graphic detail...we took a half hour subway ride to get there...and then...stood in the motherfucking rain and wind for an hour and managed to move like 10 goddamn feet...and not to mention...we were on guy's free entrance guestlist...and it means FUCK ALL AT EXIT. what kind of fucking club is it when ur guestlist is longer and moves slower than the normal line?! fucking shit...it was a miserable fucking nite and i'm never going to exit ever again.
uk clubs forever....

ravers asking for a shit load of room to use his little glowsticks and strings. and he kept fucking up.

Travelled 4 hours from Boston to come see this set, and by golly it was worth it! I had such a great time and Exit is such a nice club! I didn't realize how much nicer the new smoking laws make the club environment, it's actally quite nice! It's also nice not having to rush out of the club at 2am like we have to here at Avalon in Boston... anyways great night!
I guess since nobody else has started a track list I'll start one? Here is what my short memory remembered:
Guy Ornadel:
Cor Fijneman feat. Jan Johnston - Venus (DJ Tiesto Remix)
Tomcraft - Loneliness (??? Remix)
Green Velvet - La La Land (???) Remix)
Ferry:
Solar Stone - Solarcoaster (Midway Remix)
Scott Bond vs. Solar Stone - 3rd Earth
Solid Globe - North Pole
Gouryella - Ligaya
Binary Finary - 2000 (Gouryella Remix)
Eon - Pocket Damage
System F - Out of the Blue
Sonorous - Protonic (Ronski Speed Remix)
Veracocha - Carte Blanche
Pulser - Cloudwalking
Ferry Corsten - Punk
William Orbit - Barber Adagio For Strings (Ferry Corsten Remix)
Solar Factor - No Return
Keep adding to this...

I saw many people sneaking a smoke inside, mainly while on the floor
It's probably hard to enforce it at a big club like that, but I don't think I saw any bouncers catch any smokers.
Does anyone know if Exit provided a place for people to go outside and smoke (as I've seen at other clubs)? I didn't see any near the main floor. Perhaps the roofdeck?

Well he made the meet up . What an nice guy. He showed up around 10:30 with Pete moutso and a friend. He talked about his music and life with us for a bit and had some drinks. We got an awesome group pic of all of the Ta's and him. Before he left he let us in on a secret....... "Binary Finary 1999 Gouryella remix" !!!!!! And he told us he would drop some classics.
We waited about 2.5 hours to get into the club and caught the last 30 min if Ornadel's set. He was amazing as usual.
The Dutch man gets on the decks around 2:45 and opens with some good trance.... Solar coaster (Greg Murray remix)and 3rd earth. It took him about 15 min exactly before I really felt like I was witnessing something special. He plays this song Velvet Morning omfg I died. He continued to pound us with alot of new new stuff like Push (live another life). Then mixed in the old like tenshi, and out of the blue. His set destroyed any other I have heard in the past few weeks.
Ferry you are a class act. Thanks again for coming down to Fridays. Your fans appreciate it alot.

i was pretty blasted when ferry was playing but i did hear some very nice tracks.
ferry dropped aly and fila - eye of horus (ronski speed mix). I was very pleased when I heard the track.
ferry also dropped Questia - Nexus Asia... kool as hell
also dropped Kid Vicious - Proceed
and Marco V - del .mp3
the set was awesome.. the tracks were perfect, mixing flawless.. but there was probably a small crowd of die hards.
I talked to some people on the 2 hour line.. whether they knew who ferry was.. most of them were like "Huh?"
