Question older style dark trance: are there any artists like this anymore?

Hi, Im new to the forum... I understand a lot of people here like the more melodic, uplifting euro style of trance... I was wondering if anyone knew of any artists that produce a darker style of hardtrance much like the earlier Noom, Time Unlimited, Platipus releases? I really miss the acid element of hardtrance and hoover stabs...I've been tryin to look into hardstyle but I've found its a lot more formula based than hardtrance...so if anyone can clue me into some artists or labels to look out for thatd be great...

some examples of older artists I liked: Sussex, Mandala, Commander Tom, Nostrum, Nuclear Hyde...

some newer artists: The Aponaut, Asys, DJ Scott Project(yeah I know he has his melodic breakdowns at the end but for the most part his tracks are hard)

Try

DJ Energy - Excelsis (S.H.O.K.K Remix)
&
S.H.O.K.K - My Madness Says...(Kannibal mix)

they have synthy type melodic breakdowns but are quite dark.

while we're on a S.H.O.K.K. roll here...

S.H.O.K.K. - Folie a Deux (Klub Mix)

has a nice dark feel to it. the breakdown is also very chilling. highly recommended!

EDIT: though this may be a little too "trancey" for your tastes...

Hey thanks! Look for some tracks of ours coming out on Audiocode Records (Germany) in the next few months. They've signed 6 tracks to be released on 3 separate records, and we've also done some remixing for them as well. I'll post more details when they're available etc... in the meantime, check http://www.aponaut.com for news updates.
cheers

btw : in regards to this quote " though this may be a little too "trancey" for your tastes..."
-->I dig trancey music as well like Capetown, Mirco De Govia, NU NRG, Corsten, etc. but Im just lookin for some darker harder trance right now cause theres sooo much uplifting melodic out right now, and I cant seem to find this darker style with acid and hoovers...
thanks again
