Banging druggy progressive trance...

It would be very nice to get some intelligent feedback on this my latest track. It's a looooong hard banger that I worked on for something like 2 months...

Oh and it's still unsigned... I haven't really tried it on any labels yet. If anyone got a suggestion for a label then please let me know.

Very Good

well, at 11 minutes its long...

00:20 i like the bass line ALOT, but not the closed hihat, sounds cheap

0:58 nice vocal, excellent reverse reverb, it may be too loud though. is it compressed within the synth?

1:49 very subtle strengthing of the track here, i like the arp and the crunchy bass as well as the perucession, except it sounds kinda muffled.

2:44 ok, neat breakdown, Awesome stop and good vocal here. Great vocal actually. i dont know if like 2:55, when it comes back in. i do, but maybe skip right into the synth at 3:10. that has alot more energy is really banging.

3:40 i again question the cymbal set your using, i just dont think it fits.

4:00 getting a little bored, needs some more powerful bass

4:20 hmm, interesting string/pad. i like it, but it takes the track in a different direction. definitely makes it less dark and bangin', more anthem-ish.

5:00 bass drum is too loud, as are cymbals.

5:30 the strings fit better here, but i still would like more bass and less cymbal.

6:14 getting bored of the same string/pad melody.

6:30 is the best part of the song so far with a little tweaking. what happened to that vocal sample? i liked that...

ok 6:50 another breakdown, a bit different. i like the delay. maybe exagerate the stereo delay more, its cool

7:10 ok, same string melody is back. switch that up some. or make it less of a lead synth so its not so dominating. its all i notice. change the notes at least

8:20 should be a BD starting there and then keep the build to 8:40 and build to production. that would more progressive style.

9:10 sounds the same as earlier verse. i like it still, but its a bit same'old.

10:20 nice outro starting here. i like the regular bassline here, maybe throw that in the buildup from earlier.

in all, the sample is real strong use it more, and the opening Bassline rocks me, as does the synths that come in at 2:56 and 3:13 (though as i said, maybe lay em at the same time). switch up the percussion, especially the cymbals. work on remastering and possibly changing the melody of the strings, and even consider dropping it all together, imo. VERY good track, has potential to be Bangin' as advertised, but i'd like it cleaned up a bit even more.

Hey listening right now...

Like the interesting layers of percussion, it gets away from the standard 'dush dush' which is innovative... Cool vocals, reverb used well on them... The 'seconds' part could be EQed a bit more?

Good use of of synths used that arnt huge... (I for one have a problem with making everything too huge at times!)

Good buildup through out the track... Very cruisy trip being lead through... I like the bass alot through out the track.. Has a certain feel of a few tracks I've heard from the ID&T label.

Anyways, all in all, good work mate!!

Hey nickmahoney! Wow that was really a thorough and honest disection of the tune. :-) Thanks for all the nice feedback. I'll have a look at it again the next time I'm listening to "30 seconds".

Cool. I'll check out their stuff. Has anybody else got a suggestion for labels that might be of interest?

Like the synths and buildups of this track alot!
The main theme of the synth/pad/lead is original and cool.

The buildup at 8 mins works really well eventhough it comes perhaps alittle bit too late, and I think the hithat "tic-tic-tic" sounds cheap, I would like to hear a more powerful "dush-dush-dush" if you know what I mean.

But once again, the main melody is really cool and it would be cool to hear some of the top names do a remix of this one

Good work!
