Read This!

I suggest u buy Rio Volt. The best one cd/mp3 player right now
www.riohome.com

I strongly recommend u get this, hook it up to ur car do whatever...
Rio Volt - $160.00

Specifications:

• Plays standard audio CDs plus CD-R and CDRW discs
• Supports popular music formats, including MP3 and WMA, and can be upgraded to emerging standards.
• ESP (Electronic Shock Protection) up to 120 seconds.
• Runs up to 15 hours on 2 AA batteries, or plays non-stop using AC adapter
• Easy navigation on large backlit LCD
• Sleek 8 function remote control
• Adjustable equalizer, repeat and shuffle play modes, programmable playlists
• Bundled with Real Networks audio management software and Roxio Easy CD Creator burning software for use on PC and SoundJam for the Mac.
• Supports ID3 tags and audio CD text, title display
• Updatable firmware
It will be able to read mp3's encoded with MP3Pro in the future for sure.
Don't buy that mp3 player. I won't tell u what specific downsides it has (it does have many) but the only thing it's 6gb. Ok in brief,I've read many people complaining about : battery life-only about 3 hours, very hard and very complicated navigating thru ur mp3 collectiong, skipping for more info just check http://msg.mp3.com/hardware/listnews/?cp=hw_main the message board.
Trust me I've been keeping up with new released of mp3/cd players for about a year and I know what da hell I am talking about...that Napa player is crap, read the review here: http://hardware.dmusic.com/reviews/dav309/
and so is that 'new' (it's not new) Nomad,review:http://hardware.dmusic.com/reviews/njb/
So the best choice is either Rio Volt or Exonion CD/mp3 playerhttp://msg.mp3.com/hardware/liststory/?topic_id=4477&month=200107. I still think Rio Volt is the best one or wait for another month Rio Volt II to be released out with features such an ability to support m3u playlists and wih an LCD screen on the remote control.
So think for urself.
Hopefully i somehow helped ya.
Respekt.

yes i read it the only bad thing is that sometimes it's slow to boot , and it's normal because it's like a computer (6GB ain't easy).
Plus i don't want to bring all my CD's with me , i just want to put them all in the jukebox , it's easier ... that's why i'm still attracted to it

Well ok...but I am sure u'll be listening to 25% of what u record on that HD player. Anyway I don't carry A CD for my mp/cd player, my battery die out faster than I listen to the whole CD man. Each CD basically has more than 11 hours of music.
Anyway it's pointless explaining to u that MP3/CD players (especially Rio Volt are better than any HD mp3 player) because they are.
CM 415 Classic is what I got and I am not too happy with it by looking at what CD/mp3 players are out right now I am waiting for Rio Volt II to be released out with many great features and ofcourse like MP3Pro codec support
Respekt.

Get the Rio Volt dude, my friend has one. $169 here, and as long as u have a burner u'll get your money's worth out of it. About 89 trance tracks to a CD, and CDs r dirt cheap now so u'll like it. It has upgradable firmware too.

Everywhere I've looked the Rio Volt beat out the others for best CD/MP3 player.

For more info on the Rio go here: http://electronics.cnet.com/cgi/CEP...ans&pid=1000426

Whatever u do read reviews of it on sites like IGN, ZDNet, CNET, etc. But I would go for the Rio if u can find a cheaper burner that'll get the job done. How much is the Nomad? Cause u might be able to get the burner & CD/MP3 player for as much as that Nomad (I saw the Volt listed for $136 on the net). And I got my 8x4x32x Sony CD-RW for $150 around christmas time.
