Club Yu is good if you like House Music
Rogues Niteclub and Cave are good if you like your shitass RnB
Home, Sublime, Tank and many more are good for variety...especially trance.

Hmm, Tank is generally full of posers wearing stripy shirts. The music isn't hard house, its usually more like handbag house...

If it's hard house/hard trance he's after, Sublime at Home and Plastic at Tantra both happen on Friday nights and are pretty good if you're into that sort of music. Chinese Laundry and Globe both do decent breaks/funk nights on Saturdays, Icebox sometimes has trance events as well. Progress at Gas on Saturdays also has the hard trance thing going on, but if your friend goes there, tell him not to look twice at any of the Asians (they usually go there in gangs).

If he's a trancer, he absolutely can't miss Altitude at Gas on May 2nd

As for finding a job:
www.seek.com.au
www.mycareer.com.au
www.careerone.com.au
and the Employment section of Saturday's Sydney Morning Herald.

Hope this helps

Pick up a copy of 3D world for info on clubs.

As for jobs when i was over there i signed up with heaps of recruitment agencies for labouring jobs the works hard but it pays pretty good. I found these two to be the best:

Christies People: 95523987
Heith Richardson: 98919378

And the best advice i was given when looking for work was head into your local pub around 5 in the afternoon and look for the guys wearing steel capped boots and get chatting with them, thats how i got my work
