Shindig in Newcastle have some good nights coming up, check these out:

May 11th:
Erick Morillo

May 25th:
Sander Kleinenberg

May 31st:
Sasha

June 7th:
Danny Howells 5 hour set

June 14th:
John Digweed

There are others but those are what stand out to me. Promise on the other hand seems to have had shite lineups this year! And what happened to all those rumours of Chris Liebing coming???

Also, a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether, and two dozen amyls. Not that we needed all that for the trip, but once you get into a serious drug collection, the tendency is to push it as far as you can. The only thing that really worried me was the ether. There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge, and I knew we'd get into that rotten stuff pretty soon.

Sven Vath and Gabry Fasano should be interesting.

I remember people saying we would see Liebing in early 2003. Is he definitely coming? If so I can't wait.

Aye, and they're all in the middle of my exams I might go to see 1 or 2 of them, but money is also a problem. Life's a bitch.

Still, I'm not missing much at Promise in June with the likes of Dave Pearce and Judge Jules! What's the matter, are Promise going broke or something? Or are they neglecting the lineups in Newcastle to fund their Hull operations? I realise Jules is expensive but some of their lineups this year suggest they have been cutting costs, espescially when you compare them to the Shindig lineups listed above! Some of these lineups just aren't worth the tenner to get in. I think they should charge less when they just have local DJs, otherwise the place will start to empty and they will get a poor reputation. I mean, who wants to pay a tenner to see a DJ they've never heard of?
