I know about Tom Lee (which I was told to not buy from) and then another place near Granville & 6th (name??). Anywhere else worth looking at for equipment?

I'm looking to pick up in the near to distant future (depending on cash - the life of a grad student..).

I have bought all my equipment from Long and McQuade. They have numerous locations in the lower mainland. BTW what's wrong with Tom Lee?

Ahh, that's the place I was told about.

Re. Tom Lee I was told that there customer service isn't up to much and that there pricing isn't better than Long & McQuade.

Well just make sure you go in there knowing what you want. The Long & McQuade staff, at least the one I went to, aren't too bright either.

There is also Masterplan on W2nd but I have not been there.

Anywhere that has used stuff? Or anyone wanna sell their stuff?

Yep, I've got a pretty good idea what I'm looking for -

2x Technics (probabbly mk2)
basic 2 channel mixer (maybe 3 channel, depending on cost)

Ability to listen to headphones... Want to try out a couple before buying.

Tomm lee is awesome man, Long and mcquade they suck because they don't discount and tom lee will drop prices and maybe throw in some wires for u.
