Ok, I have been messing with dozens of midis within the past 6 months- each one being promising. However, as a new producer one problem I'm encountering is keeping the same style. Lately, I have been working on Echano's Tranquility- hoping to make it to a breakbeat. Now, I'm changing it to a psytrance, but I'm thinking about change the style back to breakbeat.
And, another problem I have encountered is not knowing which to work on first:

1.) The overall structure of the piece
2.) The melody & countermelody
3.) The percussion
4.) The pads
5.) The effects

But, hopefully, this will end up being my first real remix. I have altered the melody and changed up the instruments so far. But any suggestions, and what not would be greatly appreciated. And, remember it's a work in process- so it will essentially- Suck. BTW, I am using Reason for the production- and I have Cubase- But I rather take one step at a time and finish a song off with Reason. But, please tell me what you think of it so far.
