unfortunately mate , there is no way out.... ive been the same for a few years now, and ill save you all the psychobable, you just gotta smile and get on with it.... and concentrate on doing things that make you happy..... that way you dont think about what makes you sad.
simple, and sounds like a load of bollox...... but beleive me, ive tried to figure everything out in my head, and when you think about how to get out of it, you realise that you ARE depressed, which means you wont be happy

you probably think your alone in this choice....... beleive me you aint...... ive had a history of disappointments.. things dont work out for me...... i dont know why, im just an extremely unlucky guy, ive been thinking about moving away for ages and ages,
infact i DID move away last year..... i left my parents house.... i went to move to sheffield that didnt work out,. so i decided i was gonna go live abroad in tenerife, so i gave my house up.... and it just so happebns there was a massive slump in tourism last year in tenerife.... si i couldnt get a job.... so i gave my house up for a 2 week holiday when i was planning on staying in tenerife for about 6 months..... i know live with my dad, jobless, hopess, joyless
im still hoping to go away sumwhere, but i dont know what to do.... im scared to plan sumthing, cos i know it will go wrong.
my advice to you my friend.,.,, fuck everything...... you just bugger everything off and go do what you wanna do, visit asia or sumthing. it could be the thing that saves you form yourself

I think a lot of us get this. Sometimes I wonder if it's some sort of medical depression, but if not, then you've just gotta stick it out until things look up. For some reason, people seem to pick up on depression and avoid you when you're in that mood, which makes it worse and makes it a cycle. I don't blame them, it's hard for me to be friendly with people who don't smile.
So the only thing to do is not let yourself think about it. My personal answer to this is just to spend as much time as possible away from home (but not actually move out). Coffee shops, clubs, bars, movies, friends' houses, any of it is better than sitting on my ass at home posting stuff on TA. (kidding). But if your mind is occupied with what you're doing, where you're going, etc. then you won't get as blue.
And don't forget chokin' the chicken. That's always a great mood elevator.

i dunno if i can help here or not, ive really not had to deal with depression, my outlook on life i feel is ideal, you take in one day at a time. Dont worry about stuff all the time it just causes stress, i feel like its wasted energy. set goals for yourself, espeically in the work out catagory. when i first came to school i weighted 270 lbs. i had a beer gut, b/c there was a gym downstairs in my dorm i started to work out, (running actually). at first i couldnt run more than 5 minutes, like .25 miles without stopping but if you set goals to go that extra step you will be amazed on how easy it comes. in about a month i was running 3 miles and wondering why i had to get off the treadmill. running is the best way to shed weight, along with weight training you speed up the process even more.
at anyrate take up a hobby, something that you find yourself good at or enjoy, and try to make yourself better at it. the final outcome will hopefully make you proud of what you accomplished and the work that you put into it will take your mind off of "useless worrying". it can be as simple running that extra 2 feet or reading a book, or creating something like artwork, or even making the best bong ever! you get the idea.
i guess what im trying to say is stop worrying about shit, because worrying about it will get you nowhere. there is nothing positive that can come from worrying about something, nor will you change the outcome of it. just enjoy the you love to do and enjoy life. if you want to worry about something, worry about how much better you have it compared to other people and how you can help those peps.
hope this helps.

Yeah I know, I found a girl who can TALK, although she's a completely different person then me, she's a heavy metal fan, more alternative clothing etc..., me on the other hand I'm like a "bad guy" for her with a jeans jacket and an earring ...lol...u know what I mean, just completely different ... I love her very much. She had a depression too, even suicidal thoughts 3 years ago or so, so we were 'somewhat' in the same league.
But now I'm happy and she too.
But he said he can get a girl.
If u like her, and u can really talk to her about everything, don't hesitate, she will think the same.

if you go on thinking there is no way out then really for you there wont be.
the cure to depression is self esteem. fuck meds...they only drag on the process of getting better. if you really want to get better then you need to find a way.
do things to make you happy, and that doesnt mean like go out with your friends..or drink...whatever. it means putting effort into things that you like to do or want to change about yourself that only effect you. no one else. for instance...if your unhappy about your weight, go put in some effort at a gym...read a book on how to eat healty...and get back into shape.
if you think its hopeless then it will be for you. but there are lotz and lotz of people who have gotten through it.
and go back and look in the threads. there are other threads with advise and stuff in it too...
