Big Ears 'Clickless pitch' issues

I've been looking to upgrade my tables for quite some time now, and my heart is set on a pair of 1200's.

With my current tables (Numark 1520 DD) . I have the issue of the gap in the pitch when it hovers around 0. If record A is playing at 0% and record B needs to be played at 0.2% in order to match, there is a gap from 0% right to 0.5%. Making it impossible to hit the correct pitch I need.

This is a huge annoyance for me. And it forces me to consistantly make my mixes faster. (Which I don't like doing)

I am aware that the M3D's have a clickless pitch feature which seems to make a lot of sense. My question is: For those of you that own the Mk2's or any 1200 series table, do you have the same problem when you hover around the 0% pitch? Or is it just my crappy tables? I can't imagine having this type of problem on a $400+ table. Let me know though, if I have to, I'll plunk down the extra $50 per table.

you can manually remove the annoying click from your table, you just need to hang up some
cables, i don't remember how exactly it should be done, but search the net and you will find some information about it!

1. Most likely it is your tables, Numark 1520s are those belt driven? I haven't found a more accurate t-table than Technics or Numark ttx1, as far as accuracy and lock on the pitch adjustment.
2. I haven't had any problems with my mkII around the click, always very accurate but if ppls want it is quickly solveable. Remove the pitch slider and replace it with M3D pitch slider for only $30.00 if can't afford it and you got time on your hands, you'll need to remove the pitch slider assempbly, remove solder at the connectors and remove back plate. Take out the ball bearing, place back cover on and solder contact back up and reassemble the t-table. should tak a novice no more than an hour.

Yup, I have the same problem with my TT1625's. If I match the tunes up and notice the incoming record is gonna be near 0, I have to pitch the record playing up or down, because the transition is impossible to pull off cleanly if it's hovering around 0.

If the pitch click doesn't affect the mk2's, why would the m3d's be $50 more for a clickless pitch that doesn't matter? Unless there's something different underneath the surface that is better about the M3D's, they seem pretty pointless.

Anyone have any side-by-side comparisons of these 2 tables?

Since M3D has instant 0pitch reset button it doesn't need a ball bearing(the click) to tell you when you are at 0 pitch.

The Recommended retail price of the MK2's is the same as the M3Ds but the M3Ds are newer and they have the clickless pitch so I guess places can charge more. I tried the MK2s briefly at the store and the click wasn't nearly as bad as it was on my staton str8-60 which has quite a large space around the click area where the pitch is locked. But there still is a click at 0 where as the M3Ds the pitch slider is smooth from +8% to -8%. So I ended up paying $30 CDN extra to get the M3D instead.

(Then I went home and tried to beatmatch forgetting that I had to turn the pitch lock off )

Even a minor gap in the click would drive me insane, looks like I'll be spending the extra $100 bucks when I upgrade my tables.
