The topic I'd like to discuss has been talked about before on this board. Many of us got out of control about it, and others just gave their childish two-cents and disappeared.

I'd like to bring up the topic of whether or not we all feel Arafat could be considered a terrorist.

I'm sure most of you know my view on who this man is.
We had many in the past try and justify his actions to those of Sharon. We had many in the past say that he isn't a terrorist although his own Fatah organization (which he himself controls) overrules the Al Aksa Martyrs Brigade (which has conducted many of the homicide bombings we have seen in the past 2+ years).

Many documents have surfaced that show direct links to terror groups and terrorists. The fact that up to 200 known terrorists take refuge in his Rammalla headquarters should also be noted.

So now I ask you all once again, is Yassar Arafat (marshemo) a terrorist?

get over it... Arafat does what he thinks is necessary for the survival of his own people, as does Sharon.

Both are terrorists.

I know you're smart enough to know this but you love to denigrate arabs and stick to the IDF terminoligy, but deep inside you, you know you're playing the propaganda game.

Please spare us the bullshit and be honest with us and yourself.

Once again you go and justify the actions of Arafat to those of Sharon. Arafat sends out worthless souls to go kill innocent civilians; Sharon sends men of honour to risk their lives weeding out the terrorists to make life easier and safer for a peace wanting nation. Arafat does nothing for the survival of his people... he wishes that they all be recruited to be the next bomb-strapped terror monkey. He really doesn't care if the Palestinian people get their own nation or not.... this is evident in the obstacles he puts in front of Abu Mazen. He wants nothing but the annihilation of Israel. This doesn't seem to be getting through your head.

Defaming ones character is not my objective here... Arafat seems to have done a good job doing that himself. Making Arabs look like vicious animals is also not my goal here... for all the Arabs I know and have grown to love are sour on the outside, but sweet on the inside. So please don’t come bullshitting your way around here making false accusations about my motives, I’m simply trying to figure out what it would take for a person like you to process the fact that this person is nothing but a disgrace to all Arabs and Muslims around the world. This person is terror infested, and should be eliminated from the face of the earth. I don't understand how you so strongly support this person when what you have in front of you is enough evidence to have him executed 1000 times over in any normal society!

If my main objective here was to spread propaganda, it would be all too evident to others. I am here discussing such issues out of passion, respect, and honour for those who love life. For those who cherish everything good and humane. Do you think I’d be filled with such emotion if I was just pouring out propaganda? If you feel like pointing fingers, I suggest you look directly at the sources of information you read and fry your brains with. I'm sure you'll find prime examples of propaganda, incitement and hate within those pages. And yea, the BBC and the Guardian are the most dignified news agencies around.

Baseless accusations directed towards me, as oppose to discussing the topic at hand. Your lot seems to be good as moving the discussions away from where it really gets you hard. When it gets tough, blame Israel (or the U.S. for that matter)!

Although nothing you have ever said on these boards I could agree with, I'd like to know why you would consider Arafat a terrorist given all the evidence against him. Once again, bullshit replies are not wanted! If you have a brain somewhere in that head of yours, I’d be more than happy to hear from it.

When you get a reply that doesn't suit you, you get upset and automatically accuse the person that responded that he/she flamed you. Guess what Mike, life isn't fair. You come here and post on these forums, YOU ARE GOING TO GET ANSWERS THAT YOU DON'T LIKE. It's called diplomacy, Mike. terrorists as you call them, are seen by their people as brave and courageous for fighting with so little...

Arafat is a disgrace for the Arabs and Muslims for not being stronger and giving less concessions, that what Arabs are saying... terrorism isn't a case, they call it resistance, you forgot that?

I don't support him and I don't support your country, I wish we could go back 55 years in history, and create Israel somewhere in Africa or South America as it was first planned... not in Palestine where people live.

Are you implying that I don't cherich life and respect others? For those who have met me from this forum (yes Jews too), they know how I am and how I'm a fun loving guy... check the other forum sections where I DO post and you'll see by yourself. let me tell you something, you take a subject and point it directly toward a specific layer tainted with your opinion then you want to be sure people would answer in a manner that you would like... well guess what, some people here still have their brains and don't want to play your game.

if you want real discussion, you should start a thread saying for example: "what do you guys think of the new developments involving the Israelis and Palestinians..."

I DO consider him a terrorists (in your definition) but you have to accept that Sharon shall be called the same because the same definition applies to him.

but in the end there's a line in movie that makes much sense of the matter of 'terrorists'...

everything is relative, and in terms of countless dead (israeli and palestinian) the other will always be terrorist.

sharon is a terrorist to palestinians and arafat is a terrorist to israelis.

BTW, men of honour is a load of crap! just because you are IDF and legitimately take part in a 'reprisal' against terrorists doesn't make you any more (or less for that matter) a terrorists in a palestinians eyes!
