The best set that YOU ever DJ'd...

What was your favorite set that you ever DJ'd? Post it here.
Where? When? How did it go? What part of the set turned on the crowd the most? What part of the set turned you on the most? Add anything else thats on your mind about it also.

Myself, I never had the pleasure of DJing a club yet, hopefully I'll get a go at it soon.

me? hmm.....must be the first time i performed as a dj...2 years ago...i live far outside any city here, and the only electronic music ppl here know about is cheesy eurodance and lo-fi hardtrance! so after 2 years as a bedroom dj, i decided to do a trance set at some local party...

can't say i liked my set judged from my own...though they were screaming loud when i pumped up "ian van dahl - castles in the sky (wippenberg remix)" and when i mixed in "katana - silence (signum remix)"....everybody was dancing...aah so nice feeling, i miss it...now they won't let me dj here anymore, because i play trance and prog only...crappy! those nights though.....felt so nice!!!! i miss those feelings...gotta move to oslo so i can find a club to play at.

a small club called Plastik in South Yarra, Victoria, Australia. they like it dark and banging. star tracks of the night were Paul Hamill - Access Psycatron and obviously Origin - Refined Intricacy (Trisco Remix)....the build up in that track drove em all crazyy. Was kinda dissapointed at the result i got from spinning The Dub Session considering how many ppl told me itz a floorkiller, ive never been a big fan of it, but heaps of TA's said they die when a dj spins it, but it wasnt really worth it imo. My fav part had to be ending it with I Have Put Out The Light, simply beautiful! plzz post any other comments

My first set in front of a semi-large crowd (50ish), Halloween 2002.

The set-up was awesome, 1210 mk3's, DJM600 and a JBL sound rig with a lighting set-up too.

They were a more hard-house orientated crowd so my set went like so:

Crop Dusters - Your Love
Marcos - Beat Junkie
Scott Lee - Almost Human
Yoji Biomehanika - Ding A Ling (Scot Project)
Dj Overdog - I'm the Dj (YOMC)

Then the cops came and shut us down, lol!

When 'Almost Human' kicked in, the crowd went NUTS, it was such an incredible feeling, it was almost electric

yeah I think you probably played it at the wrong time in your set, something that dark and chugging should really go at the start of a progressive set just to get things moving, if I was gonna play it in the 2nd half of my set, i'd play the SMITH & SELWAY remix. KILLA TECHNO, the breakdown would've sent your crowd MAD!

great set judging by the tracklist anyway

umm, my best dj experience was probably a couple of weeks ago @ soda room, northbridge

got to drive some bass! had some dork ask for funky stuff just as I was starting to get my set together (3rd of 4th track) and did the good deed, could tell the crowd was wanting more (plus the fact I was bored shitless) so I ended up playing a consecutive run of tunes that just blew me away, I could feel myself jumping out of my own skin

tunes like:
Kate Bush Vs Infusion - Running Up That Hill
Lo-Step - Roots (Original)
Rob Dougan - Furious Angels (Dino Lenny)
Tony Thomas - Into The Forest
Meat Katie & Dark Globe - Feel It

every once in a while me and a few friends that live in sheffield have a house party and we get sumtimes around 200 people there, the last one i did was cool, i got on the decks at about 11pm and it started getting very busy, i started off with drax - amphetamine, and then builded up to sum nice underground italian hard trance, and then up thru acid techno into banging hardstyle..... i came off at about 1:30am then people started leaving the party after i came off the decks.... how good did that make me feel ?

.... i have a party to do there this coming weekend, end of university exams, its gonna be incredible, cant wait
